Specifications of Huawei P40 Lite

It has a lot to live up to since the Huawei p40 lite 5g is the first central Huawei phone line to debut without Google Mobile Services, which is a big deal. Carrying the worldwide aspirations of one of the largest phone companies in the world is no small task. However, if you’re familiar with Huawei Mobile Services or, at the very least, have some hacking skills, the processing power & build quality make it a worthy middle-range contender.

Huawei P40 Lite Release Date and Price

The Huawei P40 Lite 5g was launched in South Africa in May 2020, a few weeks before the rest of the P40 line. From a strategic standpoint, this may have allowed Huawei to gauge how the local market, including merchants and customers, would respond to a new type of Android experience that provides some challenging user experiences without Google Mobile Services. Both horsepower and RAM, the P40 Lite outperforms Samsung’s A51 and A71 mid-range versions, both of which cost more than the P40 Lite costs.

Design

For the first time, Huawei’s “light” models don’t appear like the flagships, which is a break from its past design philosophy. For the Huawei P40 Lite 5g variant, there are no sharp square-cut edges but rather softer, more rounded corners than on the Pro. When placed on our ear cartilage, it is much more user-friendly and comfy to handle this way. It’s not subtle, but it’s not ugly either. Because it’s located off-center, the phone shakes somewhat when it’s placed on a table. For most folks, this isn’t a deal-breaker issue if you’re protecting your phone in some way.

Display

An FHD+ (1080×2310) 6.4-inch display was one of the Huawei P40 Lite 5g best features. The contrast & brightness were not exceptional, but the accuracy and consistency of the color representation across the operating system and when watching HDR video was a pleasure. There are no such aesthetic treats to be found on Huawei’s own Y-series phones, which is a shame because they are still quite good handsets overall.

Samsung is currently selling OLED panels on the Galaxy A31 and upwards, but this LCD screen would give it serious competition. A pixel density of 398ppi compares favorably to the Galaxy S10’s, although it falls well short of the 500ppi given by current high-end smartphones.

Camera

Huawei’s cameras have always been a vital feature, and Huawei P40 Lite 5g  model didn’t disappoint. With a similar number of sensors to other phones in this price range, we particularly enjoyed the ease with which the default settings worked well and didn’t require a lot of adjusting. That doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of picture tools out there that can help you get better results. The primary camera has a 48MP f/1.8 sensor that handles the bulk of the work. Compared to the somewhat more costly Samsung A71 and LG G8S, the stock photos are excellent, with a fantastic balance of color and texture throughout.

Software and User Experience

Although Google services are absent, the whole experience still feels like a genuine Android one, which it is. Huawei’s EMUI skin hasn’t been drastically reworked so that all operating system functionalities are easily accessible. It would be irresponsible to abandon Google Mobile Services in favor of its Android overlay on a single device, wouldn’t it? One difference is that Huawei Today, a Google clone, now occupies the far-left screen. When we finally got tired of tinkering with it and couldn’t come up with anything worthwhile, we just destroyed it.
